My educational objectives narrowed my college choice. Arkansas Tech University is one of only two ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) accredited programs in the state offering both mechanical and electrical engineering degrees. I chose mechanical engineering as my major because I enjoy improving and solving new obstacles and solutions. Being engaged academically is only part of the fun. This fall, I became a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. Meeting new people is one of the best parts of the college experience. If I were to offer incoming students advice, I would tell them to apply early for housing, save money, and don't let your grades drop early in the semester.
