Senior, Chemistry Major
New York, NY
Family was the
main reason I chose Arkansas Tech University. When I visited
Tech, I immediately felt that I was at home. I knew that the
personal atmosphere would be an important part of my
successful transition into college life. I declared
chemistry for my major because of my fascination with
dentistry. The chemistry program has many professors who
have helped me prepare for my future. The one-on-one time
available with professors ensures that a student can succeed
in a rigorous curriculum. Choosing which college activities
to participate in during your free time is a tough decision.
I have been a Resident Assistant, currently the Vice
President of the Chemistry Club, Vice President of the
Inter-Fraternity Council, and a member of the social
fraternity Phi Lambda Chi. If someone asked me for advice
about college, what would I say? Build memories and prepare
for your future. I hope you are as successful in reaching
your goals as I have been in reaching mine.
