Wellness Science Major
Atkins, AR
I’ve always been an outgoing person, but, wow, what a multitude of opportunities Arkansas Tech University has to offer! The first time I visited Tech, I knew it was the right size for me – big enough to let me spread my wings, but small enough that my professors would know me as a person. Wellness Science is my major, and Tech arranged for me to visit with a professor in that area as soon as I made them aware of my interest. During my first semester, I became president of Caraway Hall, and I am presently serving as a Resident Assistant. I am also a member of the Health, Physical Education, and Wellness Science Club. Hiking and camping at Mt. Nebo has been a big plus, and I have even done a little water skiing on Lake Dardanelle! Arkansas Tech University is a place where I have been truly encouraged to grow and prepare to make a meaningful contribution in life. My advice to incoming freshmen? Your teachers want to know you. Attend class regularly, and don't be afraid to ask questions! |
